hiroshima remembered....

Its been 60 years since that tragic day. Lets all take a few moments of silence for the 140,000 people which were killed in the Hiroshima bomb

The photograph just oozes sadness, doesn't it? It was a horrible event. Have you ever seen the anime film "Grave of Fireflies?" Don't know if you're into anime, but it's an amazing thing to watch.

Thanks for this. I sincerely hope that we have learned the lesson of Hiroshima, that these weapons should never be used. I'm a bit concerned, though, because recently a People's Liberation Army general has been threatening nuclear war -- you can check out the post on Remembering Hiroshima on our blog for more info. These are troubled times!
